Louie’s journey to a better life began when he found himself in a shelter, unaware of the new doors that would open for him. During his time living on the streets, Louie suffered an injury to his front leg, which healed improperly, leaving it stiff and unused. After a thorough evaluation, the vet determined that amputation was the best option, and now Louie is thriving as a HAPPY tripod!

Louie is a total sweetheart!

He’s a joyful boy who LOVES AFFECTION and is friendly with everyone he meets.

His playful spirit shines through as he enjoys playing with toys and engaging with his human and canine friends. He walks well on a leash and is great with other dogs. He even met a cat and was perfectly fine!

Louie is house and crate trained, making him an excellent companion for any home. His adaptability and loving nature make him a favorite among volunteers and staff at the shelter.

He is in a foster home and is ready to find his forever home!
